Topical intake refers to beauty products like lotions, oils, and creams. With that being said, these products are usually applied directly to the skin, meaning they aren’t foreseen for mental health issues but rather for pain relief.
Oral intake includes capsules, sprays, tinctures, and oils. Most of these products can be ingested as-is, but can also be used in conjunction with coffee, milkshakes, smoothies, etc.
Is CBD Legal Way To Treat Depression?
This is one of the most common questions many people ask because of the obvious reasons. And, more importantly, the whole story about the legality of CBD-infused products is not as straightforward and clear as one might expect. On the other hand, it’s not too complex, either.
Marijuana-derived CBD products are illegal on the federal level. But, some states have made it legal under their own (state) laws. Hemp-derived products that contain less than 0.3% THC are legal on the federal level but still illegal under some state laws. As you can tell, it’s a pretty perplexing situation, which is why you should always check your state’s laws rather than rely on other people’s expertise and claims.
So, does CBD oil help with depression? In most cases, the answer is – yes, it does, but as we’ve mentioned, it’s too early to tell with certainty. Much more research is needed in order to come up with concrete conclusions and evidence, but as the early evidence suggests, taking CBD oil for depression could be a good idea.
